UN 'Environment for Europe' Process Confirms its Commitments to Halt the Loss of Biodiversity

The sixth ministerial conference of the ‘Environment for Europe’ (EfE) process convened in Belgrade, Serbia from 10-12 October 2007. The EfE process was initiated in 1991 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The meeting, attended by over 1,000 delegates from over 50 countries, provided an opportunity to assess the implementation of previous EfE commitments and consider the future of the process.
