The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB), the Cost of Policy Inaction (COPI) & Insights into the Sukhdev Report; presentation

The continued loss of ecosystems and biodiversity is leading to an ever growing loss of ecosystem services undermining our societal and economic health and wellbeing. The TEEB process is a major effort at understanding the costs of the loss of ecosystems and biodiversity, so as to engender support for halting the loss. TEEB builds, inter alia, on the cost of policy inaction (COPI) work. Patrick ten Brink of IEEP presented insights into the TEEB and results of the COPI study for DGENV at the EEB biodiversity seminar of 9th of June 2008.
