Exploration of options for the implementation of the Open Method of Coordination (OMC) for environmental policy: Final Report – Part B (Case Studies)

This report is one of three outputs from the IEEP/Ecologic project exploring the options for applying OMC to Community environment policy. It was commissioned by the Dutch Environment Ministry (VROM) due to increasing interest in using this new approach, as an alternative to traditional policy approaches. The study includes four case studies, covering the Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP), VROM’s ENAP project (Exploring New Approaches in regulating industrial installations), the Water Framework Directive, and the EU network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL). The main report and executive summary are also available to download.
