This workshop in Brussels on 8/9 March was organised by the UK-TAG supporting implementation of the Water Framework Directive. It allowed Member State representatives to share experiences on how they are dealing with alien species in their implementation of the Directive. Clare Miller gave a presentation at the workshop, describing the international and European legal and policy framework in place in relation to invasive species. This ties into the invasive species project IEEP is currently leading for the European Commission’s DG-Environment.
